Who are we praying to?

It occurred to me this morning that when we bring our desperate supplications to the Lord, we should remember who we are praying to, and calm our hearts.

Perhaps a human analogy might help make this point. If you work in a company and see some things that need attention, you might bring the matter to the attention of your supervisor. Your level of panic at that point might have something to do with the competence and sympathy of your boss.

No need for panic when we talk to our heavenly Father... We should be earnest, and there is something good about being desperate, but when we have finished praying, we are allowed to be calm.

Have a great day.
