More talk with God regarding Malachi

One day our eyes will see the distinction that You make between Your covenant people and those who are their enemies. This despite the fact that You have such a strong case to make against Your own people, who face great consequences for their sins in their mortal lives. Your Name will be feared among the nations.

We bring so much trouble upon ourselves because of our disobedience against Your commandments. We have caused many to stumble. You expect us to honor our covenantal relationships in marriage. You are a God of justice, and You are at work even now. You are not delighted with those who do evil in Your sight or with those who suggest that we need not repent.

You refine Your people. You will be a swift witness against those who do not fear you, and who abuse their neighbors. Yet You will spare those who repent. There will be a distinction between the righteous and the wicked.

Come, Lord Jesus. Come, O Sun of Righteousness, with healing in Your wings. Restore our families in the depths of our hearts. Grant to us blessing, and not curse.
