More talk with God regarding Luke 19

19 There are times when we are troubled and we do not even know why. It is our idolatry, isn’t it Lord? We want everyone to approve of us and to applaud. We give encouragement to others, and expect them to do the same for us, but they don’t. This is not what salvation is all about. It would be better for us to quietly repent and to exist in our enjoyment of You. Make us faithful in the little that we have. You are so very generous to us, and You won’t forget us. Lord, we don’t want to be slaughtered in the life to come. Make us wise concerning Your good plan. Blessed is the King and the Kingdom that He brings! Make us wise about these things. There are things that make for peace, but we bring such unnecessary trouble upon ourselves.
