Quick Note for the Church

Dear Friends,

Andy Wilson, Mike Kooy and I are having a great time in Uganda. This last week we have been staying with Dave and Darlene Eby. Dave Eby was Mike Kooy's pastor in San Diego before he came to New Hampshire. Dave is serving at Westminster Theological College and Seminary in Kampala, Uganda. We were able to sit in on classes, participate in an evangelistic mission to a village outside of Kampala, take part in a special party with the students, as well as many other things. The hospitality of the Eby's is extraordinary.

The students come not only from Uganda, but also from Rwanda, Congo, and Sudan. The level of instruction is excellent. One of the African pastors was a classmate of Mike Cooy's at Westminster West. His lecture on the Doctrine of Humanity was first-rate. Dr. Eby gave a fascinating class on African Church history. Two students gave reports on two Scottish missionaries who were used by God in this region in the 19th century. It was very inspiring to the other students and to us.

Next week we go to African Bible College where Palmer Robertson teaches. We will be preaching 14 messages on First Thessalonians. We have been reviewing those messages with each other, which is a wonderful and unusual opportunity for all of us.

Thank you for your prayers. I am eager to return with new boldness and the blessings of these African brothers and sisters. May the Lord use us all mightily for the glory of His Name.

Every Blessing in Christ,
Steve
