Psalm 145

Thank God for God!

That's what praise is, and it is very good for us. But when we make praise about what is good for us, we miss the point.

His worthiness is the point. Thank God for God, because God is so amazingly worthy!

We need to tell the next generation about the worthiness of our Lord. When we think about Jesus, and about what He has done, then we will find a way to speak forth the wonder of the Son of God to our descendants without shame. Sing to the Lord about the Lord today! Don't worry about it. He is the best!

Not only is God great. He is so merciful to us and good to all His creatures. He is not spending day and night finding fault with us. He is continually giving us gifts from on high, and forgiving our sins.

Everything that our senses can take in leads us to the praise of the Almighty. But God has especially spoken to us in the Scriptures, revealing Himself to us in a way that can be considered with the heart and the mind. He has not just left us an old book. He is alive to us through that living Word.

Much more even than that wonderful living book, His kingdom is an everlasting living kingdom, and it is coming with more glory than you could ever ask for or even imagine. Al the divine presence that is in the Bible will soon be available to the fullness of your resurrection senses when the kingdom comes in power. Good God! Really.

God does know about your suffering today in this fallen world. Jesus, who died for your sins, loves you every minute of the day and night. He is able to sympathize with you as One who has surely carried all your griefs and sorrows on the cross. He also knows your needs. He will provide. Don't worry. He will bring you through the present distress.

He is a righteous God, and He is near to all who call on Him in truth. He will destroy the wicked, but He will save all who trust in Him. Turn back to Jesus again today, and call on His Name. And let your mouth speak out the praise of the Lord forever!
